We undertook a major study in 2005 to address barriers to building homes in the UK based on the prototype Earthship Brighton. This was funded by UK governments Energy Savings Trust, and orchestrated by CLevel. We pulled together a collaborative team including Biotect, Mike Reynolds, architects, planners, building inspectors, quantity surveyors and mortgage lenders. The report lead to the submission of full planning application for a 16 unit development on land overlooking Brighton Marina. Full permission was granted by Brighton and Hove City Council.
